If you are looking to import discount codes in bulk via JSON or CSV files, please send us an example file (you can attach files in your comments on Canny).
This way, we'll have a better idea of which formats our app needs to support importing from.
I've attached a screenshot of an example JSON file we've received.

Tobe Osakwe attached is a sample file.
ColumnA - Coupon Code
ColumnB - Condition (applicable SKUs)
ColumnC- Type of Discount (fixed price in this case)
ColumnD - Discount AMT (Fixed Price AMT)
ColumnE - Coupon Type
ColumnF - Rule Name (Currently used internally for reference - not needed)
ColumnG - Start Date
ColumnH - End Date
ColumnI - Free Shipping (US Standard Rate Free Shipping) - We understand Free Shipping may require additional logic/values to be provided per Code, we would want to/need to set Free Shipping for Specific Shipping Method per Coupon Code (ex: Free Domestic US Shipping)

Tiffany Kuchta: Thank you! I won't lie - this seems like a store-specific format, so we might not be able to build in support for this specific format. However, we will certainly consider its overall structure if we build this feature.

Tobe Osakwe understood! I think a common structure would be coupon code, applicable to specific product(s) or collection(s), discount type, discount amt, start date, end date.
Shipping discount associated would be great but is probably secondary to just being able to bulk load multiple coupons/coupon codes.

Tiffany Kuchta: Thanks, we'll keep that in mind!

Tobe Osakwe As I have been creating more discounts I have been leveraging the AI with much success. This has also however given me a more standardized format that could possibly be adjusted for bulk loading. My typical AI prompts are as below. If I was able to bulk load in a similar format or fashion that would be very helpful.

Bulk Import of Discount Logic via JSON or CSV

We would like a way to import discount logic in bulk. Merchants need to create numerous unique coupon codes (up to 200) at once for campaigns with specific rules. The current method of generating and setting up each campaign by hand is time-consuming, especially for targeted affiliate marketing campaigns. An ideal solution would involve a CSV or JSON format that can automate this process while maintaining flexibility for updates. This would greatly reduce administrative overhead for merchants, allowing them to manage campaigns efficiently.
If you'd like us to add this feature to our app, please upvote and comment on this thread.
P.S. This feature request was generated via AI, based on the conversation with the customer.

Thanks for your input! After extensive consideration, we’ve found that adding more features hasn’t led to better outcomes; instead, it’s increased churn and support needs, which has impacted our ability to focus on what we do best: making complex discounts simple. Going forward, we’ll prioritize stability and core functionality by not adding new API integrations, major design changes, or advanced options that could overcomplicate the app. We appreciate your understanding as we double down on delivering a streamlined, reliable experience!
